Nexus Tablet
A new report claims Internet giant Google is on the course of
re-affiliating with the renowned tech firm Samsung to create a
cutting-edge 10-inch Nexus tablet. The new device is thought to be a larger and superior version of Nexus 7.
History Of Nexus Tablet
Earlier this year, Google has melded with Asus in a fruitful fusion that resulted to the creation of a 7-inch Nexus 7 device, built by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner. It is also the first tablet in Google Nexus series that is implementing the Android operating system. An aftermath piece of the joint project of Google and Asus was officially released this summer. Since then, the name Nexus 7 began to roll.
Just recently, Nexus 7 is conferred with the ‘Gadget of the Year’ title at the T3 Awards. Perhaps, Google would want to create another gadget that does even better than its precursor by then.
According to an NPD DisplaySearch analyst, Richard Shim, with Samsung as its new buddy, Google’s next version of Nexus tablet is going to be a high-end gadget.
As per CNET’s early writing, the new Nexus tablet will have a 10-inch screen with a higher resolution density than the third generation of Apple’s “Retina” iPad.
Purportedly set to debut this December, Google’s new 10-inch Nexus model will initially be offered at a lower cost. Earlier reports further claimed that Google will most likely reduce the price upon its release.
Features Of Nexus Tablet
Once it debut, it will be labeled under the Galaxy Nexus tablet series, designed with a pixel display of 2,560×1, 600 and with almost 299 PPI (pixels per inch). With its higher pixel density, the new Nexus 7 apparently has an edge over the new iPad’s 264 PPI.Meanwhile, famed iPhone-maker Apple is also expected to unveil its latest iPad next week – the iPad mini. Likely thought to be smaller than its forerunner, the new iPad is expected to convey a 7-inch liquid crystal display, contending the scheme of Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon’ Kindle Fire.
On the other hand, it looks like Google and Samsung are up to join forces in an effort to compete with Apple’s full-size iPad at this time.
Besides Apple and Google, Microsoft is also due to release Windows 8 tablets in the coming weeks. Amazon is also expected to present its Kindle Fire tablet in Britain before the year ends. Given all these impending releases, 2012 Christmas is therefore, going to be an extremely competitive period for the tablet market.
These companies are obviously showing faith on their products amidst the stiff competition. All these add up to every consumer’s benefit. Tablet consumers must already be looking forward to picking the best brand and grab their share of the finest tablet variety this holiday season.
Google and Samsung already have created a fruitful fusion history, which steered to the production of Android smartphones. The same merger also instigated the introduction of Google’s most recent handset, the Galaxy Nexus and its precursor, the Nexus S.
Google’s Nexus series of devises are designed to offer customers with its so-called “pure Android” experience.
