Just in time for the start of the holiday shopping season, AT&T today announced the addition of two new Samsung 4G LTE tablets coming this week to its lineup.
On Nov. 9, AT&T will debut the Windows 8-powered Ativ Smart PC and the Android-based Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

The $799.99 Ativ Smart PC comes with a detachable keyboard-docking
system, blending the PC and tablet form factors. Carrying 64GB of
internal storage and a microSD card slot for an additional 32GB, the
device runs an Intel Atom dual-core processor, and supports software and
applications that now run on older Windows OSes, like Windows 7, Vista,
and XP.
The Ativ Smart PC will sport Windows 8, but is upgradeable to Windows
8 Pro. It also comes pre-loaded with a trial version of Microsoft
Office 2010.
AT&T is taking advantage of the upcoming shopping rush by
offering various accessories, including an Ativ stand dock ($49), which
can charge the device and includes built-in access to a USB port and
Ethernet port. Additionally, a VGA adapter ($40) lets the user connect
their tablet to external displays, monitors, and projectors for
second-screen viewing.
Meanwhile, the Android-based Galaxy Tab will sell for $499.99, chock full of entertainment and productivity features.
Features like the Media Hub, Smart Remote, and AllShare Play, as well
as on-device encryption and VPN access, turn the tablet into a personal
and business-savvy option.
For a limited time, customers who pick up any Samsung Galaxy smartphone will also receive up to $100 off a second Samsung device, including the two new tablets.
AT&T covers 285 million people with its 4G network, and continues
to roll out its ultra-fast LTE network around the country. The network
now covers 80 markets, and is expected to reach 100 cities by the end of
the year.
The Ativ Smart PC tablet and Android Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will
be available onlineand at AT&T’s brick-and-mortar retailers.
