If you’re eyeing up the Samsung Galaxy Note II on Verizon’s network, you may be a bit turned off by what I’m about to tell you. Apparently the VZW logo will be branded on the device’s home button — a move that leaves me disappointed and somewhat disgusted with Verizon’s ways.
Now, let’s make note here (see what I did there?). This isn’t going to affect the performance or usability of the device in any way, but c’mon Big Red. Did you really have to go and put it right dab smack in the middle of the freakin’ home button? Surely, the guys/gals behind this move made it after a long night of too much partying or something, because it just doesn’t make sense — to me at least.

Maybe I’m a bit overboard on this one. Perhaps not many of you will care. Hell, I’m a T-Mobile customer, so I don’t even know why I let it offend me, but for some reason it does. Perhaps it’s all the shady business we’ve already seen from Verizon — locked bootloaders, delayed (and cancelled) updates — that leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Whatever the case, I think it was a real piss-poor decision on their part.
